Skoolie Swarm – Florida | Unique bus life & RV Gathering Experience

February 21, 2025 through March 2, 2025

Hello everyone we made it to Swarm! Our spot was with all of our bus community. There were multiple circles but ours was called the teen tribe/family circle, lol. Swarm has tons of activities and amenities like showers, bathrooms, cabins, a mess hall, water for your rigs, a pool, volleyball, Gaga ball, a basketball court, community fire, tons of space to park, and it’s right on a lake.

When I got up each morning I would hang out with friends by the fire and we would go to all the fun activities going on that day. The first couple of days there me and most of the teens did sign language classes! I ended up learning about 50 signs and had fun doing it. They also did a silent walk with the deaf and even taught some of the teens how to sign a whole song which in my opinion was pretty cool. That same day I got to tie-dye a shirt and even helped tie-dye my friend’s curtains. It was hard to tie-dye all of it but definitely worth it in the end as they looked good. After the tie-dye, me and my friend Meghan hung out by the pool for a couple of hours. It was super fun getting to chitchat, tan, swim and have lunch together! To our surprise Swarm was hosting a polar plunge while we were still at the pool so of course we had to do it. It was super cold but after a while you got used to it. Another time we were at the pool, costume kickball was going on right next to it. Costume kickball was super funny to watch as most of the guys were wearing long dresses and the girls were wearing crazy onesies, lol. To finish those days off I helped set up my friend’s surprise birthday celebration and learned tons of line dances!

The following day all of us teens had fun hanging out playing card games, volleyball, basketball and doing the pie eating contest. But the best thing about it was the rave for kids and the karaoke for adults (we still did the karaoke too lol). The rave night was pretty cool as they played tons of different songs like country, rock, jazz and of course edm. I really liked the kids rave as they played a lot of songs that me and my friends knew line dances to and I got to watch the older teens/younger adults create a huge moshpit. The karaoke was also fun as I got to sing some songs with my friends and sit by the fire. Overall the people that planned it did good!

The next couple of days we didn’t do much as it was stormy. We mostly spent our time hanging out playing games and doing all the inside activities like game day, sign language classes, line dancing classes, checking out the silent auction and lots more! One of the nights wasn’t stormy so we got to do a huge bonfire and an amazing fire show! They had a couple of tables that had tons of snacks like ice cream, pudding, marshmallows and some fruits to roast over the fire. The fire show was super cool as always. It is crazy how some people can do those amazing stunts!

The last day there was prom! Prom is awesome because most of the Skoolie kids are homeschooled and don’t get to experience prom, and Swarm’s prom isn’t just for certain ages, everyone is allowed to come no matter how old you are! Me and Meghan got ready together before taking tons of photos. After photos we all made our way up to the basketball court which was transformed into a beautiful under the stars themed prom. They had a DJ, photo shoot area and tons of yummy treats. Everyone had loads of fun singing, dancing and we could never forget about all the fun line dances we did! After hours of fun we went back to the buses and chitchatted by the fire before heading to bed.

We had the time of our lives here at Skoolie Swarm and it’s so sad that we have to leave but our time here is done. Personally my favorite part of Swarm was prom and those amazing pool days where I got to connect with my friends! I hope one day you too can experience the fun of Skoolie Swarm.
