Hello everyone, we made it to the event Van Fest! Van Fest is a fun, smaller event. It doesn’t have many amenities, but it does have lots of activities, plus friends and fun! When we arrived, I got the Rv all set up in record time, and as soon as I was done, I went to hang out with my friends. Since we decided to do all of our chores before coming here, it was already later in the afternoon, so my friends and I played a ton of card games, did karaoke, and ended the night with a movie.

The first full day there I got up early, made coffee, and got ready for the day. My friend Beckett and I played card games before we went to the airport to pick up a friend who had flown back from seeing family. The airport was half an hour away from the event, so Beckett and I chitchatted on the way to pass the time. When we picked him up from the airport, he told us all about his stay in Canada. When we arrived back at camp, there was a lady giving out free ice cream to all the kids, and of course, I had to get some. (She was not a random stranger, so it was safe to have.) All of the teens that were there went into the huge grass field to play a game called Ninja. The game is super fun. The object is to hit both your opponent’s legs and arms with a limited number of moves. Whoever is the last one with a limb wins! After Ninja, we did some more karaoke before bed.

The next morning me and my two friends Reed and Beckett did Solar Juice, but this time we made green chili pork burritos to go with it. It was going to be a busy day, as the event was open to the public and they were expecting around 3,000 people to come in, do the activities, and get a tour of all the buses. What better time to sell food and drinks than right now? We sold stuff until about 3 o’clock. By the time we were done cleaning up, it was around 4, so we walked over to the gas station and got some snacks before coming back to watch football.

The next day we did Solar Juice again, as the public was going to be let back in. While we did Solar Juice, Reed helped with tours of their bus, and that ended up helping us sell a lot more. We had a longer day, as there wasn’t much else going on that day. When we were done, it was already around dinnertime, so we ate, then played a bunch of card games, like always. Later that night, they had a silent disco going on. It was really cool. They had three different music genres to choose from, a fog machine, and tons of lights that made the fog glow different colors. All the teens stayed out until about midnight requesting songs, dancing, and singing together before going to bed.

The following day was the end of the event, but we all parked our rigs at the beach to hang out for a couple of hours before heading our separate ways. We had an amazing time at Van Fest, but it is time to head to our new spot. We are going to another event in just a couple of weeks!
