Hello everyone! We camped at Lake Bartlett for five days, but before that we stayed a few days at my grandparents’ house. As always, it was packed with chores and visiting family. Our spot at Lake Bartlett wasn’t anything special since we were boondocking, but it did have a pit toilet, trash bins, walking trails, the lake, and about five or six of our friends that joined us. When we arrived, we got our camp set up, and I finished a few chores before heading outside to hang out. Since we got there later in the afternoon and it was starting to get dark, my friends and I just listened to music and chatted before going to bed.

The next morning, I got up early to make coffee and set up birthday decorations for my dad! Since we were home for his birthday, all our friends and family came out to the lake. In my opinion, it looked like a full event with everyone there. I was so happy when my cousins showed up! Since my dad was busy chitchatting and hanging out with our friends and family, I spent the day hanging out with my cousins and friends. That night, we had a big potluck around the fire, and of course, we had cake and sang happy birthday to my dad.

The following morning, I woke up early again to go shopping with my friends. The drive was a little over half an hour, so we passed the time watching a home renovation show on Netflix, lol. We went to all kinds of places like two different Goodwills, the grocery store, the mall, Chipotle, and even a barbershop for my friend Reed. By the time we got back, it was already dark, and the parents were sitting around the fire talking. Amaia and I had found similar prom dresses while shopping, so of course, we had to try them on and show everyone before heading to bed!

On our last full day, everyone mostly stayed at camp and did chores. The most fun part of the day was making cards and eating cupcakes to celebrate Landon’s best friend’s birthday!
We had a great time at Lake Bartlett, but now it’s time to head out to our next adventure, Skoolie Palooza! See you all in my next blog.
