Michigan- Mason’s House

Welcome back everyone, We stayed at my dads friend’s house for 10 days in Marshall, MI. He has a nice property with chickens, turkeys and cute barn cats. When we arrived I was surprised to find out that not only his two kids Logan and Malcom were there but also his niece Layla and nephew Brenden.

While there we had a lot of time to hangout, play cards, board games, jumped on the trampoline, road bikes etc. One of the days there we checked out a skate park. We rode our bikes, scooters and skateboards around all the jumps. After my dad nearly broke his back trying to live out his teen years we decided it was time to head over to the playground instead. While all us children ran around and played extreme hide and seek, Mason and my dad went fishing. After an amazing time at the park we headed home, ate some delicious food and went to bed.

One evening the neighbors had invited us over to their barn for a birthday celebration. The barn was really cool, they had converted it into a bar with dollar bills stapled on the roof. The adults hung out there while us kids went under the barn to see the kittens. They were absolutely adorable and only a few weeks old. After seeing the kittens they had a movie projected on the side of the barn for the kids to watch. Since they had a daughter my age we asked if we could have a sleep over, so to my surprise my mom said yes! We had such a great time, we had a nerf gun fight, played sorry, trouble and all sorts of fun games.

It was finally wedding day! My mom and I got up early and headed to the venue to help get everything set up. It was a bit chaotic trying to get everything done and still have time to get ourselves ready, but everything turned out perfect and we had plenty of time to get ready. When the ceremony started I was so happy for them. Lynsay looked gorgeous in her stunning dress as she walked down the aisle to her soon to be husband and two kids. The wedding was so much fun and we all had such a great time, I am so happy for them and wish them a life of happiness. After the wedding Mason and Lynsay headed to a hotel for the night while everyone else headed back to their house. Mason’s sister and her family stayed there as well as Mason’s dad, so it was a house full of fun. In the morning I made biscuits and gravy for everyone.

The next few days were such a blast spending time with everyone at their house. We had a great time hanging out with all of them and were a little sad to leave but we had to move on with our travels.
