After a long drive day stopping to do chores we finally made it to Wreck Cove Flowage Lake around 9-10pm. Since it was a Saturday all the sites right along the water were taken. A local came over and told us about another spot a few miles down the road with a concrete slab right across from the lake, so we decided to head there for the night and would figure out a plan the next morning. We were only planning to be there a few nights so we decided to just stay there and spend our days at the national Park.

We went to the park to do some wonderful beach hikes, they were all very pretty with view points that looked out to the ocean. After our hike we found a picnic area that had a view of the ocean and a playground. It was the perfect spot to stop and eat before exploring more. Landon and I really wanted to play in the sand and my Explorer packet said we needed to have a sand castle competition, so my parents found a sandy beach to spend the rest of the day.

The next day my mom needed to get some work done so my dad took me and my brother for a hike and bike ride. First we did a 2 mile hike that takes you to the tip of the island and overlooks the ocean. It was very fun and so amazing to see all the beautiful scenery along the trail. After the wonderful hike we did a 1 mile bike trail that led us to a big playground. On the right of the playground was the ocean and to the left was a beautiful lake. After a really fun time playing at the playground we headed back to help my mom do our drive day prep as the following day was another drive day. Stay tuned for my next blog in PEI!!
