Grand Pré Nova Scotia CA

Welcome back to my blog. We stayed in Grand Pre Nova Scotia for a few days. The spot we stayed at was called The Guzzle. It wasn’t my favorite because it was small and got crowded with locals coming to go fishing. We were parked at the end of a farm road so every time we went in and out we got to see lots of cute cows. The first night we were there a huge storm rolled in and the next morning I woke up startled to an evacuation notice. I guess the dam up the road was at risk of breaching and we were right in the flood path. Luckily after my parents looked more into it they noticed the evacuation notice had been lifted as they let water out of the dam.

After things calmed down we decided to go out and explore the area. We were basically in farm land central so we checked out all the farm markets. I could have sworn we went into at least 50 of them. It was pretty fun surprisingly, we got tea, cheese, fruits, veggies and a Canadian ice cream sandwich. We were all starting to get hungry so we found this little restaurant where we sat on the patio for a few hours, ate and people watched. On our way back we needed to get water for the RV and luckily the place my mom found was connected to a splash pad and playground. It had a tipping bucket and lots more fun water activities, but we weren’t prepared so Landon went in his undies and I wasn’t planning on getting wet. Right as I walked under the bucket it tipped over and spilt all over me! I got soaking wet so I decided I might as well just play in the water with Landon.

The next day we went to Grand Pré provincial park, as always our first stop was the visitors center to pick up our packets. It was Landons very first time ever doing the program, he was so excited he finished his whole packet in less than an hour. We explored the whole park and even got to play the game rolling hoops. When we finished at the park we stopped back at the visitor center to get our badge before finding somewhere to eat lunch. Since it was such a nice day my parents took us back to the splash pad/ playground to have a picnic and play.

When we got back to the RV that evening we went out and explored the guzzle. It’s basically a huge dyke built to protect and use the tides to water the farm lands all around the area. The next day we were heading to our next destination but on our way out we seen a bald eagle on top of a silo. I enjoyed the farm lands around but was really excited to go to a new spot.
