Welcome back, we stayed at Spencers Bay Campground on Moosehead Lake for 14 days. It’s a free dispersed campground right on the lake with about 20 sites. When we arrived there was probably 10-15 other campers with a million kids! Even though all the waterfront sites were taken we got a great site that was grassy and really big with vault toilet bathrooms right by us. As soon as we set up camp we went straight down to the water for a swim, where I met this little girl Addy. She was about 9 years old and introduced me to all her family and friends. There was about 20 kids in their group ranging from 5 to 11 years old. The day flew by because all us kids just played and played.

After a few long days playing with the other kids, my dad’s friend Adam and his girlfriend Jen came to camp with us for the weekend. They brought all kinds of Acadian delicacy’s including a delicious whoopie pie. We mostly hung out by the water their entire stay and I hung out with the other kids. While we were down by the water Addy’s family invited me to go on a boat ride on their pontoon. Once we got out to the middle of the lake they turned the boat off and let us all jump in and swim, it was a blast! When we got back they had a blow up trampoline so all us kids hung out and played on the trampoline. Once it was getting dark we went back to eat dinner and hang by the fire before going to bed.

The next morning I woke up excited because Tom, Delmara and my cousins had all arrived. But sadly that day it was time for Adam and Jen to leave. That day a spot opened up by the water so we decided to move to a perfect spot overlooking the lake. The rest of our time at Moosehead we mostly just swam, built forts and kayaked.

One of the days I was hanging out with Addy when her family member came up and told us there was a moose down by the water right behind our RV. We walked over to check it out and I ran to get my camera. It was so awesome seeing not only one but two moose so close to us. My mom was a little nervous because the camp host had warned us that they were aggressive and would charge if we got too close.

I hope you enjoyed all my U.S. blogs but now it’s time for us to head into Canada for the remainder of the summer. Keep an eye out for upcoming blogs because I’ll be telling you all about our stay in the four different provinces we’ll be exploring.
