Hello everyone. We were at Castle Rock Ponds for a week. It is free boondocking and has tons of space for rigs. It has lots of sunny spots for good solar, is right by fun sand dunes, close to a great hike, and has a nice lake that you can swim and fish in. It is also only about an hour or two away from Skoolie U.P. We love it here and it is definitely one of our favorite spots in Michigan. Tons of the travel community comes to this spot, especially when Skoolie U.P. is near.
The first day we got to the spot we set up camp and hung out by the water fishing and swimming. I also got a video of a cute little fish with my Insta360. After about an hour of hanging out, we decided to go into town for dinner. On our way to the restaurant we had a crazy experience. A girl around my age crashed on her bike and flew into the road. Luckily no cars hit her. We flagged down a police car that called for help and everything ended up being okay, but it looked like it would hurt for a very long time. Her whole face was covered in bruises. When we finally made it to the restaurant we ordered pizza and drinks, then played cornhole while listening to live music. We stayed for a couple of hours just hanging out and having a good time. After that it was time to head back home and get ready for bed.

The next two days were filled with lots of things like school, blogs, photography, cleaning, content creation, and fun stuff too. We went fishing, paddle boarding, riding bikes, driving around, exploring the dunes, swimming, and playing card and board games. We love having nice chill days where we get to just hang out and have family time before big events or meeting up with friends, so that is exactly what we did.
When we got up one morning we did a camp reset before some of our friends showed up. Our friends have three kids, Abigail, Penny, and a little baby boy. After they got all set up, we all went into the lake for a swim since it was super hot outside. After we got dried off, Abigail and I did a photo shoot of their cute little cat 2Pac. We had dinner all together and finished the night with a movie.
The next morning I did all my chores and then went outside to hang out. I got all the kids together to make my Aunt Delmara a birthday card since we were seeing her in a couple of days and her birthday was right around the corner. After about an hour of helping everyone with their cards, we cleaned up our messes and went into the water to cool off because it was extremely hot. We played so many games in the water like tag, Marco Polo, volleyball, catch, moss, and more. After a long time of playing games, Abigail and I sat in the sun tanning, listening to music, chatting, and eating snacks. We spent the rest of the night hanging out, playing card games, board games, and beach games.

The next morning my parents went into town to do laundry and have a little breakfast date. While they were gone, Landon and I cleaned up camp and the trailer. Once we were almost done, my parents got back and some of our friends, the Leonards, showed up. We hurried to put away all the laundry so we could go hang out with them. These friends are one of the families we have traveled with a lot. Dan and Josie are the parents, and they have five kids, Rex, Gwen, Piper, Theo, and Noah. Once they got parked and set up, we all chilled by the water for the rest of the day catching up and watching all the little kids play. We all had so much fun finally being reunited.

On our last full day at this spot we ran into town to do errands and last minute things before the big event. We went to a few grocery stores to get everything we needed, then got a day pass at a trailer park to dump, fill up water, and take nice long hot showers. After finishing errands, we made it back to the trailer, put everything away, and hung out with our family Tom and Delmara who had just arrived. Once everyone was settled in, we brought out Delmara’s presents and had a small celebration for her. That night we had dinner and had a little scare with Blue because he could not get up and was very drowsy. Mom and Delmara did everything they could for him and we gave him lots of cuddles so he did not feel alone. We were planning to drive the RV to a vet in the morning if he still could not move, but thankfully he was fine. He was able to get up and run around, so we headed to our new spot, Skoolie U.P.

We had such an amazing and beautiful time at Castle Rock Ponds and absolutely loved it there. Now it was time to move on to an even better spot with all of our friends. I hope you enjoyed this blog post. If you did not know, I also have a YouTube and Pinterest. You should go check them out. They are the same name as this, Adventurous Leila.
