Adventurous Leila

Hello and welcome back. We were staying at our friends house for about a week just having a good time together. They have five kids all around Landons age so he was super excited to spend time with them.

Since we did a drive day later in the afternoon we did not get to their house till dinner time. After they showed us where to park and we got all set up for the week they gave us a little tour of their property and house before having dinner and then chatting for a little while. Before heading to bed they offered for us to come to a climbing place with them the next day and how could we decline. It sounded so fun.

When we got up we tried to hurry and get out the door so we could go to the climbing place that had a bunch of things to do like rock walls, free climbing walls, workout equipment, a little snack stand with free tea, bathrooms and a big sitting area to rest or watch people. When we got to the place we signed in and then had a blast climbing or at least trying lol. I spent most of my time on the free climbing wall trying to get to the top which was nearly impossible. I only managed it once and I spent time on the workout equipment doing chin up contests with my dad. I think we all had fun hanging out together and climbing on everything but us and our friends had to run errands so we went our ways and then met up at the house after an hour or so. At the house we put away all our groceries and things we got then started cooking dinner for our collab meal. After our big yummy dinner we got ready for bed and got some much needed rest after a long day of climbing and chores.

The next morning I got all caught up on schoolwork and did my chores while some people went for a bike ride over to the gorgeous lake. After I was done me and my mom helped Rachel prepare her sourdough bread loaves for tomorrow’s breakfast.Then we hung out chatting, playing games, helping Rachel paint her garden and doing lots more to fill the day. Later that night we did another collab meal that was super delicious before heading to bed.

When I got up in the morning I ate the super yummy sourdough bread Rachel made. We then had another chill day hanging out going to the store to get groceries, making yummy drinks, playing card games and board games, and reading my Kindle in a hammock under their huge oak tree. Because what book reader does not want to read under a tree.

After breakfast we packed up sand toys and lunch and drove over to the lake. When we got there Jess told us that it was going to be a little walk up some stairs and over a couple sand dunes before we could chill. I thought he was joking at first but he definitely was not because my legs were on fire, lol. When we finally got to the lake we set up some chairs, towels, and a little picnic blanket to sit on and soaked in the sun while we ate super sweet and juicy watermelon. We spent our time talking, playing beach games, swimming, making sandcastles with the little ones and having a nice picnic. I think these moments are my favorite when we get to hang out and make nice memories with each other. After we spent a couple hours at the lake we packed up and hiked back to the car. By the time we got home everyone was so tired we all relaxed for a little while before we started to get our trailer ready for our drive in the morning. After packing up we did one last collab meal before making our way to our beds to get the rest we needed, lol.

The following morning we got the rest of our stuff drive ready and said our goodbyes before heading out. I think we all had such a good time hanging out together and we cannot wait to see them again along our travels, but for right now it is time to head to another spot.
