Adventurous Leila

Hello and welcome back! We were staying at one of the best Thousand Trails in St. Clair Michigan. This Thousand Trails has great amenities like water, dump, picnic tables, fire pits, electric sites, bathrooms, showers, a pool, washers and dryers, an arcade, a community fire, playgrounds, a jump pad, a basketball court, a volleyball court, a camp shop that has everything you would ever need, and a game room with puzzles, TVs, and tons of other fun games! They also offer activities to do most days.

After we got all set up in our spot, we walked around the whole campground to check out everything they have and all the activities they were doing that week! After checking everything out, we hung out in the trailer playing board games and card games like always, because what else are we gonna do when it is raining? After some intense rounds of Phase 10 and Uno, we had some yummy stir fry for dinner and called it a night because for some reason drive days make us super tired.

When I got up, I made coffee and breakfast for everyone then started to clean and get all caught up on my blogs plus photography. It was fun roaming around the campground taking pictures while I waited for my laundry to be done. I even got to make a whole two minute video of all the things they offer to do here! After I cleaned and caught up on stuff, me, my dad, and Landon went on a long bike ride. We went more into the trees and it was super fun. We got to see tons of birds and just enjoy nature. Since it was a chill day, I do not really have much to talk about. We just hung out and had some family time after being with friends for so long.

The following day me and Landon went to the arcade and game room. We did the motorcycle arcade game at least 16 times, lol. After we spent all our money, we attempted to do a puzzle and actually did pretty good until we got distracted talking to other kids who came to watch a movie, lol. We ended up talking to the other kids for a little while and they told us about the karaoke night the campground was doing that night and what song we should sing. If you know me, you know how much I love karaoke so of course I said yes to singing with them! We hung out with them for hours just watching movies, doing puzzles, and just chit chatting to get to know each other. But then it was finally time to do karaoke and when we got over to the community fire, there were so many people wanting to do karaoke. We ended up meeting two other girls Grace and Addy! We spent a couple hours singing songs together and I think we all had such a good time together.When it was time for us to go in for the night, we all traded phone numbers and planned to hang out by the pool the next day.

The next day I got up and did all my schoolwork and chores so I could go hang out with friends. We all planned to have a pool day and we did exactly what we planned. But first we got ice cream from the camp shop because a pool day in the summer is not complete if you do not have ice cream, lol. We spent most of the day playing water games like Marco Polo, Moss, volleyball, water gun fights, and tons more. I think Landon had a blast practicing how to swim and by the end of the day he was swimming like he has done it thousands of times! After swimming for hours and hours, me and my friends thought it would be a good idea to go to the playground and do karaoke which ended up being my favorite part of the day because who does not love doing karaoke with friends. Sadly two of the girls had to leave during karaoke so we decided to go to the game room and do some puzzles and surprisingly we did the whole 500 piece puzzle, lol. After we spent two ish hours on one puzzle, it was time for me and Landon to have dinner and call it a night because after spending the whole day doing tons of fun but tiring things in the sun, you want a good night rest.

The next day we had another pool day because it was so hot but this time there were so many kids playing in the pool so me and Landon had so much fun playing water games. All the kids did an extreme water gun fight that was super fun and then we did a game of volleyball that most of the parents joined. Landon was even more confident in his swimming. He even started trying to do flips under and over the water lol. Later that day they did a fun golf cart parade and tossed candy out to everyone. There were probably about 50 golf carts. They were definitely not kidding about the parade but it was wonderful for all the kids since we all got a ton of candy lol. Since all the kids were lined up for the parade, people started asking if everyone wanted to play Manhunt and of course I said yes so for the rest of the night I had a blast playing Manhunt with a bunch of other people.

The next morning we did not do much since we were all worn out from all those days in the sun so we just stayed in most of the day cleaning, doing chores, doing drive day prep, I did blogs and photography, and we all went grocery shopping which was probably my favorite part because me and Landon got to get new Lego sets. Since it was a slow chill day, we watched a movie together to end the night before our drive the next day.

I think we all had a good time here at Thousand Trails St. Clair in Michigan with all their fun stuff they have to do here but it is time to head to another fun spot which happens to be our friend’s house.
