Hello everyone! We are still at our family’s house in Mayesville, South Carolina. If you haven’t read Part One and Two, I would recommend checking those out before reading this one (Mayesville – South Carolina Part One) and (Mayesville – South Carolina Part Two).
A couple of days before Mother’s Day, both my parents and my cousin’s parents went to a brewery for dinner and drinks. They put me and my cousin Juliette in charge of making dinner and watching the kids. We had a great time making cards for Mother’s Day, hanging out, eating pizza, preparing muffins for my cousin’s bake sale, letting the kids watch movies, sitting by the fire, and tons more. One of our Skoolie friends was actually there, and they had five kids around Landon’s age, so he kept himself busy with all his little friends while me and my cousin played games and hung out. I’m not sure how the parents’ night went, but I’ll assume they had a great time making memories together!

The next morning, we packed some bags and all the other necessities we would need to go to a hotel for a couple of nights. After packing up, we drove about 30 minutes before stopping to get some much-needed food. I got a salad and some soup, my dad got a burger, my mom got a yummy soup-looking dish, and Landon got a cupcake, lol. After eating our yummy food, we drove another 30ish minutes and checked into our hotel. The hotel was nice we had two separate rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a balcony that looked over the ocean. The hotel also had amenities like three pools (two of them indoors), three hot tubs, a lazy river, a sauna, and a breakfast buffet. After bringing all of our stuff up to the room and getting on our bathing suits, we went over to the hot tub. There we listened to music and chit chatted with some other families staying there. When we got overheated, we jumped into the cold lazy river and floated while letting the light sprinkles cool us off, lol. After a couple of hours in the hot tub, we went back up to the room and ordered a ton of Chinese food. We had egg rolls, Kung Pao chicken, rice with veggies, steak with broccoli, veggie rolls, and to top it off fortune cookies! After our feast, my parents went back to the hot tub before heading to bed.

When my family got up the next morning, we showed Mom the kitchen we had decorated with cards, flowers, and a Happy Mother’s Day banner. For breakfast, we got tons of things to share like eggs, bacon, yogurt, pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausage, and some orange juice. After breakfast, we walked over to a beach shop and got a cool magnet! We mostly spent the day swimming, sitting in the hot tub, chilling in the sauna, chatting with people, and just enjoying life. What was cool about the pools, hot tubs, and lazy river was that they looked out onto the ocean. So while we were chilling, we could hear, smell, and see the gorgeous ocean! While we were in the hot tub, an ice cream truck pulled up so of course, we had to get some! Mom got a watermelon popsicle, I got a SpongeBob ice cream pop, Landon got a Spider-Man ice cream pop, and Dad got a chocolate ice cream cone. After hanging out, we packed up all of our stuff and made our way back home. By the time we got home, it was already late, so we unpacked, ate dinner, and hung out with our family before going to bed.

I think my mom had a great Mother’s Day doing the things she loved with the people she loves. We had an amazing time at the hotel, and an even more fun time seeing our family and getting to make so many new memories! I hope all the mothers out there had an absolutely amazing Mother’s Day! And I also hope you enjoyed my blog, I’ll see you in the next ones!
