Dupuis – Florida | Camping and Outdoor Adventures

March 23, 2025 through March 30, 2025

Hello everyone, welcome back! We were staying at Dupuis Campground for eight days.
Dupuis has amenities like a pavilion, bathrooms, showers, water, dump, trash, picnic tables, fire pits, stables, and pens for the horses. This spot is actually where we hosted our first event last year, so it has tons of fun memories lol.

When we arrived, we dumped, filled up water, then started to set up camp. Since we hosted an event here, the camp host was happy to see us back. We ended up chitchatting for a little while before riding bikes around to see if anything had changed. Later that night, we all took showers and played card games before bed.

When we got up, we started doing school and deep cleaning the RV. I did spend most of the day editing photography, journaling, and typing up blogs. When I was done with all of my school stuff, I helped clean the house before calling friends and reading my Kindle. Later that day, some new people showed up and they had a miniature pony, so obviously we had to go and pet it, lol.

Landon woke up super excited because after all of our classes and chores were done, we were going to go bowling. When we made it to the place, we had a blast competing and Landon was surprisingly pretty good at bowling for his age. We spent almost all of our day there bowling but never winning, as my dad was really good at it and we couldn’t beat him, lol. But we also got to play the arcade games, win prizes, and get French fries plus drinks. When we were done, we headed back home, made dinner, and played a bunch of card games before heading to bed.

In the morning, I made coffee, then me and my family went for a walk around the campground as there was a big storm that night and the lightning struck something super close to us. As we suspected, about a hundred feet from our RV was a huge tree that was split in half and looked super burnt. The tree that got struck was actually in a camping spot, and the lady that was in it was only about 10–20 feet away from the tree. She was also in a tent, which in my mind makes it one hundred times scarier. She wasn’t doing so well with money, so we ended up going to the grocery store and buying her some food, and when we gave it to her, she was so happy that she started to cry a little. While we were in town getting her stuff, we stopped by a couple thrift shops to find some pillows for our new pillow covers, but ended up getting some cute summer dresses, lol.

The following day, me and my mom did more RV renovations like wallpapering the bathroom and hanging up cute photos in there too. The last couple of days there we just did projects, cleaned, did school, played card games, and hung out with the camp host, lol.

I hope you guys enjoyed my blog! I’ll catch you in the next one. Also, don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel! @AdventurousLeila
