Hello everyone! We’re spending five nights at a campground/gated community in San Felipe. The place offers several amenities such as showers, bathrooms, a dog park, multiple pools, hot tubs, full hook ups, and some picnic tables.

When we arrived, we started to set up our campsite. After setting up camp, we checked out the stuff they had to offer there. Sadly, the pool was further than we thought and we ended up having to drive to it, but it was still worth it as the hot tubs were amazing. We stayed at the pool area till dark, then headed back to eat dinner and get some rest.

After a good night’s sleep, we got up, made coffee, then packed up to go over to the pool. At the pool, I kept Landon busy, as Dad wasn’t there to play with him (we had some car issues that he was taking care of). The gated community offers tons of activities that you can do, and some of the activities took place at the pool, so we got to meet some other people. Landon had a blast playing tons of games with me like Marco Polo, tag, diving for his toys, and other random games. Later that night, Dad brought some snacks and pizza over to the pool. We ended up eating dinner while chilling in the hot tub. I definitely recommend this, it was really nice.

The following day was CHRISTMAS EVE! We started the morning off with coffee and a present. Me and Landon both got an ornament that represents a fun thing we did or liked that year. We started that tradition about three years ago. My mom thought it would be cool to get us ornaments each year so when we’re older, we have special ones and can tell our kids about it and what it represents. After getting ready for the day, we headed into town to get some last minute groceries. While we were in town, we stopped and got some birria tacos, which are my favorite, I highly recommend! When we got back from town, we put our groceries away, then went down to the pool. After a couple of hours at the pool, we went back into town to get some Chinese food. Eating Chinese food on Christmas Eve is a tradition to us, lol.

The next morning I woke up really excited, AS IT WAS CHRISTMAS!!! Me and Landon got up way earlier than we usually get up and helped Mom make coffee and homemade cinnamon rolls. Since my dad likes to take his sweet time in the mornings, we got to eat the cinnamon rolls while opening presents. We all enjoyed opening our presents and, of course, stockings. I got another ornament, some shirts, other random things, and my favorite of all, my Converse. After opening our amazing presents, we called our friends and family to wish them a Merry Christmas. After cleaning up all the wrapping paper and calling family, we took Blue dog over to the dog park to get some energy out. After a little while at the dog park, we headed back and got ready to go to the pool. To our disappointment, the pool was closed on Christmas. So we drove around to find a different pool, but they either were too cold or we weren’t allowed to use them. We ended up just heading home and playing a bunch of games and preparing dinner. When dinner came around, our home was smelling delicious. We had a whole chicken, sweet potato casserole, homemade buns, and of course, some stuffing.

The next morning, we packed up camp to head out. We had an amazing time in Baja and were sad to leave, but we have an event coming up very soon and have to go back to the USA. We loved it down in Baja and already made plans to come down here next winter but for six months and with friends! I hope that one day you can experience the wonders of this amazing place that was our home for three outstanding months!
