Hello Everyone we made it to Moab, Utah where we stayed for four days. Our campsite was a typical boondocking spot with no amenities, surrounded by rocky hills and about 20 minutes to Arches National Park.

Our first full day we headed to the park for a full day of hiking. Our first stop was obviously the visitor center to get recommendations and Jr Ranger packets. We then headed to our first hike, it was a shorter hike that goes through a valley. When we started the hike it was brutally hot so we were excited to get into the valley for some shade, but to our surprise the valley had no shade so we hurried to finish the hike. Our second hike was balance rock and it lived up to its name, the rock was huge and it was balancing steadily on a pointy rock underneath it. To be honest I was scared it was going to fall, lol. After Balance Rock we headed over to two other hikes right next to each other. Both of them were pretty short and took you to these amazing arches in the rocks formed by the wind. Each of the hikes remind me of home with all the beautiful desert rocks and cacti. After a long day of hiking we found a stunning overlook to cook, eat dinner and watch the sunset.

The following day we had another park day. Our first stop was a really short hike through a huge canyon with soft sand. While we were at the arch, a large group of children came as they were on a field trip. Since it got crowded we decided to have a quick look and head to our next hike. The next hike was a longer hike and you guessed it, it was to ANOTHER arch! Along the long hike we got to see many mini arches and an amazing overlook of the stunning mountains and gorgeous cacti. When we finally made it to the arch we took some photos and had a little break before heading home for dinner.

Our last day in Moab we skipped the national park and explored the surrounding area. We stopped at the dinosaur track hike where you walked around on a boardwalk to see the preserved dinosaur tracks and read the fascinating facts along the way. We then headed over to an area with petroglyphs and tons of rock climbers. My parents decided we should head a few hours south so we can check out Canyonland National park as well. We had a great time in Moab and getting to see all the amazing rock formations, stay tuned for another fun spot in Utah.
