As soon as we got off the cruise we picked up Blue, grabbed the RV from Spencer’s and checked into Beso Del Sol resort in Dunedin FL. The hotel has a pool, hot tub, laundry and a restaurant/bar. We rented three separate rooms. The room I stayed in was the largest. It had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, living room and a loft. My grandma and papa stayed in the bedroom on the main floor. Me, Kyah and Airalyn slept in the living room. My parents had the upstairs room and Landon slept in the loft. The other two rooms were both one bedrooms, one my aunt and uncle stayed in and the other my cousin Ali and her boyfriend Wyatt stayed in.

We arrived a night before everyone else to get all settled in but as soon as we woke up in the morning our family arrived. After getting situated we headed straight to the pool where we stayed until dinner. The men grilled and the ladies made all the sides while us cousins played. After dinner we had a chill night watching tv before going to bed.

In the morning we woke up to Fred ( the elf ) being there and Landon and Airalyn were so excited. After breakfast we got ready and headed to Honeymoon state park to have a beach day. We stopped at the visitor center to pick up Jr. Ranger packets that never ended up getting done. My cousins and I went in the water with grandma but it was really cold. We played in the sand and made sand castles with Landon, then ended our time at the beach watching dolphins. They were jumping out of the water it was super cool! We went back to the hotel to eat some dinner, me and my cousins did fake nails then got ready to go to the Freedom Factory. It was so fun, we got to watch cars play soccer with a giant steel ball, bus racing in a figure eight, monster trucks, the best fireworks and ended with my favorite, demolition derby. We had such a blast but didn’t get back to the hotel until after midnight so we all crashed out.

We rented bikes to ride over to downtown Dunedin. They have a nice paved bike trail that goes all through the town. After a long ride we stopped for a lunch break at a place called Eddies. We ate some chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, french fries and the adults got fish and chips. They had an arcade there so us kids played a ton of games. After Lunch we rode back to the hotel and spent the rest of the day at the pool.

Our next day we did a small road trip over to Hunter Springs park where we blew up our kayak and paddle board for a water day. While me and Kyah were in the water we noticed there were a few manatees right next to us. TT joined in when she realized the manatees were right by us, but her toenails were painted red and she was scared they were going to try and eat her toes because they kept putting their faces right by them. Seeing the manatees was super cool and it was an awesome experience that me and my cousins got to do together, but sadly it was time to go back to the hotel for dinner.

We spent so much time swimming and hanging out as a family but sadly our week together was coming to an end. I’m so glad my family decided to do a trip together for Christmas this year instead of gifts, and really hope we can keep that tradition going but next time hopefully my Uncle CJ and his family can join as well. Keep an eye out for my next blog where I’ll be celebrating my 13th birthday again down in the Florida Keys!
