Adventurous Leila

Hello everyone, we just made it to Parrish Florida where we’ll be staying with Spencer (the guy my mom works with) for about a week. His place is really nice on 2 acres with a large grassy lawn, a pool and a hot tub. The night we got there Spencer’s family already had plans but told us we could help ourselves to the hot tub. After the hot tub we ran some errands and went to Zaxby’s to try it out. The next day we rode Spencer’s quads and dirtbikes pretty much all day, it was so much fun and I was so excited to learn to ride. That evening my mom told us we were having an explore day in the morning so we had to go to bed early.

I woke up to my mom telling me it was time to pack my bags, I was so confused because I had no idea what we were doing or where we were going. All she would tell us is it was a big surprise and to pack for about a week. After packing we all loaded in the Jeep, our first stop was a Rover to drop Blue off. After about a 15 minute drive we parked in a parking garage and that’s when I seen a HUGE CRUISE SHIP and I knew that was the BIG Surprise! I was soooo happy. With a big smile on my face we boarded and went straight to the lido deck to get some food and hop in the hot tub. I met two 18 year old girls who invited me to go dance with them. After dancing for awhile they announced everyone had to move aside for a dance battle. The people in the battle were so good and entertaining. Once dinner time came we went to the restaurant to eat then my parents said I could go to the teen room for a few hours. It was super fun, the room I was in was only for 12-14 olds. I met so many friends, we played Xbox, explored the ship, hung out in the hot tub and of course ate lots of ice cream. Curfew was 1am so my parents let me stay out until then.

The second day was a day at sea so after we ate breakfast I met up with my friends at the pool. My mom and I had the app to where we could text each other so she pretty much let me do my own thing with all the other teenagers the whole time. We played mini golf, hung out by the pool but the most fun was hanging out in circle c (the teen class). We got to make bracelets, play uno and other fun activities. That evening was captain’s night and the night we were celebrating my 13th birthday. My family all dressed up really nice and went to dinner at the restaurant again. After dinner I went to Circle C for a few hours before calling it a night.

The following day we arrived to Mahogany Bay, Honduras where we went to Aj’s Monkeys and Sloths. We got to pet guinea pigs, hold sloths, let the macaws land on our heads and go in the jungle gym with the monkeys. Afterwards our driver took us up to the top of the mountain to a 360 view point, it was so beautiful. We asked him if there was anywhere we could go to get some local food and to our surprise he took us to the gas station. They had a counter that had all kinds of food so my parents ordered a little of everything for us to try. It didn’t look the best but it was delicious and we even got a yummy mango drink with chia seeds in it. After our bellies were full he dropped us back off at port where we walked over to the beach. We swam and played in the sand for a bit before heading back to the ship for dinner and of course more circle C.

Our second port of call was Cozumel Mexico, we got off the ship as soon as we arrived and caught a ride to Playa Mia. It’s a beach that had a huge floating obstacle course, a splash pad, water slides and all you can eat and drink buffet. I played in the ocean on the obstacle course all day and ate so much food. After a fun day in the sun we went back to the ship, took showers and then I spent the rest of the night with my friends at circle C.

Our last day on the cruise was another day at sea so of course I made the most of it and hung out with all my friends all day. That evening was the farewell Christmas show and I got to preform in it. The cruise was the best birthday surprise, I wish we could have stayed longer but it was time to go get our Blue Dog and head to another fun place to meet up with my cousins!!
