South Carolina- Campsgiving

Welcome back everyone we stayed in South Carolina on Chatooga Belle Farm for five nights. It’s a hipcamp that has a distillery, farm store, a tree house and a fishing dock. We stayed here with four other full time families. All together there was 11 adults, 17 kids and 9 dogs! When we arrived to our spot everyone was already there so my dad dropped me and Landon off at the tree house with all the kids. After hanging at the tree house for awhile us girls went back and did each others makeup, filmed IG reels, chatted and hung out for hours. That evening we kicked off our time together with an epic s’mores/apple bar with the apples from the farm store.

Thanksgiving morning, the dads brought all 17 kids to go get donuts while the moms got to stay home and have some alone time before prepping Thanksgiving dinner. The workers were not too pleased when we all walked in but we had a great time and who doesn’t love donuts? When we got back to the farm Juliette and I did our makeup and got ready for Thanksgiving. Since we had 5 families all collaborating we had so so much food, all the staples plus more. We stuffed ourself to the point we all looked pregnant. After dinner my friend Molly and I had a sleep over in her van while Arielle and Juliette had one in their SUV. Me and Molly had so much fun eating snacks and watching shows until about midnight when we finally fell asleep.

The following day all us girls hung out all morning and that afternoon we had to babysit all 14 of the younger kids while our parents walked to the distillery for some adult time. As you could imagine it was very hard at times but overall we had a great time. We baked cookies and before we knew it the adults were back. That evening Juliette, Arielle, Molly and I all had a sleepover in Molly’s van. First we did each others make up then we filed a bunch of Instagram reels that will most likely never be posted. We watched movies, chit chatted and hung out until about 5am (even though my mom said not to stay up all night).

The next morning we had a rude awakening with banging on the van at 9am. It felt like we had just went to sleep. We came out of the van looking like hot messes with mascara all down our faces to find Juliette’s grandpa Rex had arrived. Him and his wife rented a cabin there for the night. Unfortunately it was pretty cold that day so we mostly stayed inside all day. In the evening we did a soup charcuterie dinner and ate left over pies from thanksgiving. I stayed the night with Molly again in her van but we were so tired we had an early night.

In the morning we did worship music around the campfire followed by pop up church. Since the next day was a drive day we started prepping then we all brought the left overs out for a smorgasbord dinner. After dinner the adults had a game night while us kids watched movies then called it a night.

In the morning we packed up, said our goodbyes and hit the road to make our way to Florida. We had such an amazing time with our nomad friends that now feel more like family.
