Hello everyone we stayed on PEI for one week. To get there we had to take a big two story ferry ride that took an hour and a half across the ocean. Passengers were not allowed to stay in their vehicles so we went to the top floor and ate breakfast at their cafe. I was excited because I felt like we were on a cruise. Once we got to shore it was a short drive to our spot for the week. It was lovely, right on the ocean with plenty of room for us to finally fully unpack and be able to play outside.

Our first day there we met some really nice people that were also camping. After we chit chatted for awhile Landon and I played cars in the dirt, and I made him a miniature monster truck track. After a few hours I had to go in to complete my assessment for school. I was a little disappointed because I got an A and I prefer to get an A+. It was a good first day but we were all exhausted from getting up super early for the ferry so we went to bed early.

The following day we were headed to the National park for a park day but on our way Landon spotted Lightning McQueen, so of course we had to make a pit stop. He was so excited because not only was Lightning there but Mater was also there. After our detour we made it to Prince Edwards Island National Park where we did a beautiful hike that lead us to the beach. We played on the beach for hours before heading back to camp for the night.

I woke up the next morning to a stinky stench, I got out of my bed clueless what it might be and then it hit me…. A skunk! Blue got sprayed by ANOTHER skunk!!! Come to find out my dad let him out in the middle of the night. He heard a bunch of ruckus thinking Blue was falling down the cliff, but when he shined his flashlight he seen Blue thrashing back and forth with a skunk in his mouth. We’re pretty sure Blue killed it but he got sprayed really bad in the process. He was even vomiting because we think it sprayed him inside his mouth. Since we were dealing with that we had a late start to our day so my parents found this cool park nearby to explore. On our way we stopped by a local bakery for some goodies and coffee for my sleepy parents. Once there Landon and I were so excited because there was really cool characters all over and four different playgrounds. After playing for awhile sadly my parents told us it was time to head home.

The next day my parents told us to get ready because we were going to do something fun but didn’t tell us where we were going. To my surprise it was a fun petting zoo where I got to feed tons of cute animals. There were so many animals and majority of them were miniature and made them even cuter. After the petting zoo we were headed to a hike when we seen this really cute farm store with fun slides, tractors and a really big sand pit. My parents decided we could check it out for a bit while we ate lunch. They had a nice deck with live music that my parents enjoyed while us kids played. After awhile I went over to the Sunflower U-pick field. I took tons of photos of the sunflowers, they were so beautiful; Bright yellows, orange, red and white and all different sizes. I picked just enough for us to have a mason jar bouquet. After hours at the farm we decided it was too late to go for a hike. We bought some goodies from their farm store before heading home and guess what their jelly was called, “Leila’s Jam,” so of course we had to get some.

After so many fun filled days in PEI it was time to keep traveling and making our way towards Quebec. Stay tuned for more exciting blogs to come.
