Pennsylvania Part Two

Hi guys we were camped at Moon Lake campground, it’s basically dispersed camping but you have to pay for it. We were camped right up the road from the lake but had a ton of mountain biking trails next to us. I was nervous at first to go mountain biking since it was my first time, so we went on an easy one called T Rex. I wouldn’t necessarily call it easy though, Juliette who has gone mountain biking many times said it was the worst thing ever. I’m glad I decided to go because I had a blast even though it was so bumpy that I almost crashed like 25 times.

The next day we spent the afternoon at the lake. A small dam was right by the parking lot so we played in it for awhile and Marley kept jumping in it. My dad wanted to fish so Juliette and I decided to take the kayak out. We were trying to get each other to jump in the lake but we were both too chicken of it being cold. After awhile of us relaxing in the middle of the lake our parents called us because it was time to head back for dinner.

Leading to our campsite is a long hill that all us kids enjoyed riding down. Landon even learned to use his peddles on this hill and now he can ride his big boy bike without pushing it around like a balance bike. He’s so cute and really good at riding a bike for being 3 years old.

We had to head into town for some chores so we decided to go to an early mothers day brunch. I got to try chicken and waffles, they were so amazing! We also got a board of pancakes, waffles and fruit to share. We each ordered some yummy drinks. The restaurant was really artsy and fun to take pictures of, it reminded me of the factory in Tennessee we went to.

For Mother‘s day I had set out roses and cards on our table for my mom. Juliette, Noah and Elijah hid little paper flower bouquets for her to find all over the RV. My dad and I made her french toast, sausage and fruit bowls while she got to sit and enjoy her mimosa. After breakfast we packed up and found this beautiful spot right next to a waterfall for us to spend the day. My mom got to relax and sun bathe while me and my brother played. Before the sun started to set we headed back to camp where my dad cooked my mom’s favorite dinner, Carne Asada tacos. To end the day we sat by the fire and ate angel food cake with berries and whipped cream. My mom said it was a perfect day.

We planned to stay a few more days in PA however, decided to leave early to shorten our drive to Long Island. My parents booked an RV park in New Jersey. We ended up having a long drive there due to tire issues that are now resolved. After a hectic drive day we ended the evening with some delicious Italian food. Keep an eye out for my next blog about Long Island and our visit with my dad’s family.
