Virginia Part Two

Welcome back, we were camped at this boondocking spot for eight days. It is really nice with a river right next to our site. We learned quickly that we have to be careful and watch for snakes because we seen a snake right next to the river. Most days were cold and rainy, however the few days that were nice we made the best of it.

My mom surprised my little brother and I by taking us to a monster truck show. There were five monster trucks including a tiny one. The little tiny monster truck was my favorite because it was blue and had a dog on it, which is my favorite color and animal. Sadly, the little monster truck broke an axle so it only did one round . There were also six quads, 5 of the riders were boys and 1 was a girl. They did a total of three races and all three times got beat by a girl! They said off-roading wasn’t for girls, but I think it is! After the Monster Truck show we went shopping and got starbucks since we were already in town. It was such a fun filled day.

After it rained for a day or two we went on a hike called the lions tale hike. This hike was cool because it was really interactive and had signs with braille that explained what you were seeing along the trail. It also had a make believe story about the lion’s life who once lived there. At one spot there was a wading area along the hike so my family all put our feet in but the water was freezing. There also was a natural spring that I stuck my hands under but i definitely would not drink from it. Overall it was a really fun hike even though it was super short.

My family and I loved our time in Virginia, my mom even says its one of her top states so far. This was our second visit to Virginia along our travels and we plan to come back in the fall to check out the coastal areas as well. But now its time to head to PA.
